Flow and Capacity Team Lead

• 3-5 years transport planning experience • University degree (logistics, engineering, transportation management, or related field) is preferred. • Detailed knowledge of Warehouse Management System and Order Management Systems • Act as an internal traffic expert • Proven analytical, organizational, strategic, tactical, and time management skills • Strong logistics background

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Supervise Yard Management • Manage team of flow planners and jockey drivers • Oversee all transport planning to include loading, unloading, and storage • Knowledge and understanding of Astro, Gemini, and CNS • Increase efficiency of DC operations (reduce cost, improve productivity) with load planning and storage • Be proactive in response to capacity and planning issues • Responsible for external management of offsite overflow capacity (if needed) • Have a clear understanding of, and passion for IKEA values and principles • Support and execute the ideals of "The Human Resource Idea" in regards to recruitment, training, development and leadership of the team function. • Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned
