What you'll be doing day to day

As a Retail Store Associate, floating between various departments, contributing to a successful shopping experience, you will: - Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes. - Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience. - Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience. - Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels. - Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety. - Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving. - Flow product to final selling location. - Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. - Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience. - Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishing sector. - Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.
